What is 1% for the Planet?
Founded in 2002 by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard and Blue Ribbon Flies founder Craig Mathews, 1% for the Planet is a global network of businesses committed to giving at least 1% of annual sales to approved nonprofit partners.
Members donate directly to the organizations they support, while 1% for the Planet reviews their revenue documentation and donation receipts to certify that the commitment has been met.
To date, the network has certified more than $870 million in environmental giving across thousands of businesses and environmental partners worldwide.
