The Source™ Brush comes in Flossing (Super Soft), Soft or Medium bristles. The head is smaller than the Big Brush and is right and left-hand compatible. It depends which way you put the replacement head into the handle.
The TOUR™ Travel Brush uses the same replacement heads as the Source. Due to the unique design of the TOUR, the Big Brush Replacement Heads will not fit on the TOUR.
The Big Brush™ is the newest of our brushes to have replacement heads. The head size is larger than the Source. They come in right or left-handed versions and utilize the optimal 45-degree angle that the ADA recommends. Look for the Big Brush Replacement Heads.
With our replacement head toothbrushes, you are keeping the handle for life and only replacing the heads.
The wide oval brush head of the Big Brush™ is designed to improve gum health and can even reduce the risk of gum and heart disease by massaging the whole mouth. If our Big Brush™ is too big for you, we suggest you try our Source™ Toothbrush. It features a much smaller head and does not feature the 45-degree angle. The Source has a slim neck that’s longer than your average toothbrush to provide maximum reach in tight spaces.
It is recommended but if you're in a hurry, you can close it while wet. There are two small drain holes directly behind the RADIUS® logo on the handle that allow any water collected on the inside to drain out. We designed the TOUR™ this way so you don't have to keep your toothbrush open in order for it to dry. If you do want to let it dry before closing it, you can leave it open with the RADIUS logo on the handle flat against the sink or counter.
Toothbrush heads, regardless of the brand, cannot be recycled due to metal staples that keep the bristles attached to the head. Our toothbrush handles are recyclable unlike other brands. Most other brands of toothbrushes are over molded which means they use more than 1 type of plastic and cannot be recycled. We also use EcoPure in all of our products, making them landfill biodegradable. So even though toothbrush heads cannot be recycled, they will still breakdown in the landfill when thrown away.
To sanitize your toothbrush we recommend using a solution of 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water. You can use the 3% dilution of hydrogen peroxide, which is the most common and typically found in drugstores or pharmacies. Soak your toothbrush for 5-10 minutes and rinse. We do not recommend sanitizing your toothbrush in any kind of heat. The high temperature of a dishwasher, boiling water, or microwave will melt the plastic.
The Source™ Toothbrush has a 50% smaller head than the Big Brush™ and Flex Brush but it still has 200-300% more bristles than an ordinary toothbrush. All of our replacement heads are interchangeable, so you can use the Big Brush Replacement Heads with a Source and vice versa. We're overachievers like that.
The Source™ handle is straight, not angled like the Big Brush™ and Flex™ Brush, and the Source™ handle is made from recycled materials like dollar bills, wood, hemp, coconut shells, starch, or recycled soda pop bottles. The Source™ is sold with Replacement Heads which are 50% smaller than the Big Brush™ and Flex™ Brush heads (however you can use the Big Brush Replacement Heads with the Source). The Source™ can be either right or left handed depending on how you put the Replacement Head into the handle. The Big Brush™ and Flex Brush come in right and left hand versions.
Our toothbrushes typically last up to 3x longer than ordinary toothbrushes. The life of your toothbrush does depend on how hard you brush and how often, but we recommend replacing them when the bristles start to fray or look worn.
Yes, we have discontinued the original Big Brush™ one piece design because we are transitioning to the Big Brush with Replaceable Head. It's the same design and brush size, now with a replaceable head to reduce waste. Rather than throwing your entire toothbrush away, you can just replace the head (which is landfill biodegradable) and keep your handle Forever. It's your Forever Brush™! And it's more cost effective. You don't have to buy a new toothbrush every time, now you're just buying the heads! It's a win win!
You know we love our lefties but we don't currently make a lefty Kidz™. Our Source™ Toothbrush is a great alternative to a left handed Kidz, though. Depending on the age of the child, our adult Source Brush can be a good option for left-handed children. The brush size is similar, and kids love the idea of the handle being made from money, wood, soda pop bottles, etc.
Start cleaning the baby's teeth when they appear. At 18 months, you can start using a pea-sized amount of zero-fluoride toothpaste, such as RADIUS’ Organic Children's Coconut Banana Toothpaste. Encourage your child to spit out toothpaste, but not rinse. Before the first tooth comes, you can gently wipe your baby's gums using a damp, clean towel or gauze, a couple times a day.
The bristles in all of our toothbrush lines should be secured in their handle by tiny staples and should never fall out. We apologize if this should occur and can gladly replace it. Please reach out to our customer service department at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, shipping information, and your situation.
Yes, all of our toothpastes are fluoride free. As an added bonus they also don't contain any chemicals, SLS, SLES, triclosan, carageenan, pesticides, glutens, saccharin, parabens, artificial additives or sweeteners, propylene glycol, detergents, or synthetic foaming agents.
Our toothpaste has a low foam. The truth is you really don't need foam to be clean. Equating foaminess with cleanliness is all in your mind put there by years of shampoo commercials showing people having the time of their lives while washing the suds out of their hair. The truth of the matter is that a lot of foam is typically caused by chemicals (like SLS) that are added to your shampoo or toothpaste just to make it foam. Now, it's also important to remember that there are natural foaming agents that will create a low foam. We did our research and ultimately decided on organic quillaja which is a type of soapberry. Soapberry is a natural foaming agent that has antibacterial properties and has been used in oral medications in traditional Chinese medicine.
We don't use any chemicals, artificial additives or dyes, our toothpastes so they are the color nature intended. Typically the white or colored toothpastes you see are made from chemicals or unnatural additives. Due to it's organic content, the natural color of our toothpastes will vary.
Not all organic products are created equal. There's various levels of "organic" and certain requirements from the USDA for each level.
Our toothpastes are at the certified level which requires at least 95% organic ingredients.
Here is what the term "organic" means according to the USDA:
“100% Organic” If you see this it means that the product contains 100% organic ingredients (excluding salt & water) and may use the USDA seal and/or a “100% organic claim.” The organic ingredients must be identified on the panel.
“Organic” If you see a product labeled “organic” it means that at least 95% of the ingredients (excluding salt & water) are organic and the USDA seal may be used. It may be stated that the product is “organic” and the organic ingredients must be identified on the panel. Our certified USDA Organic Toothpaste falls under this category.
“Made with Organic...” When you see this on a product it means that it contains at least 70% organic ingredients. The product cannot have the USDA seal and cannot be labeled as “organic.” When labeling the product, it can say “made with organic...” and there may be up to 3 ingredients or categories mentioned. A blanket statement of “made with organic ingredients” cannot be made.
As a company, we don't believe in GMOs so all of our products are non-GMO. Our toothpaste specifically cannot contain GMOs in order to be certified USDA organic.
We also don't use any chemicals, SLS, SLES, triclosan, carageenan, fluoride, pesticides, glutens, saccharin, carrageenan, parabens, artificial additives or sweeteners, propylene glycol, detergents, or synthetic foaming agents.
Our toothpastes contain coconut oil/coconut water. Our toothpaste facility makes other products that contain can contain soy, nuts, or other allergens, however everything is thoroughly sanitized between every batch. If you have an allergy concern, please contact your doctor.
Our toothpaste should be smooth and easy to squeeze out of the tube, however we do not use any chemicals or fillers to achieve this consistency - only natural and organic ingredients. When dealing with organic ingredients, the consistency can sometimes vary. The toothpaste is still safe to use but if you would like a replacement tube please contact us at email@example.com.
This is not true. This appears to be a claim started by a chemist who wrote an article without much evidence to support the claim and the information spread. In fact, this claim goes against the basic chemistry of glycerin.
Glycerin is water-soluble. It dissolves easily in water and it is also bacteriostatic meaning it helps prevent bacteria from forming. Because glycerin dissolved easily in water, when you use toothpaste and rinse your mouth after brushing (or simply take a drink of water later in the day) the glycerin will easily be removed from your teeth.
We use organic glycerin in our toothpastes (sourced from mustard seeds, not soy or palm) because it's a natural emulsifier, it helps mix our oil and water-based ingredients. It's what helps makes our paste a paste and is a pretty important ingredient. Glycerin also acts as a natural sweeter without contributing to tooth decay.
We recently moved to plastic-free packaging to align with our company sustainability mission. The cardboard box acts as the plastic container that you received with our previous floss. The cutter is on the top of the box – it can be accessed by removing the sticker on the front and opening the flap. You do not have to remove the floss from the box at all.
We did recently discontinue our Cranberry Floss. We came out with new flosses which include flavors like Vanilla Mint, Peppermint, Clove Cardamom, and Silk Green Tea Jasmine. These flosses are made with tooth-friendly erythritol & coconut oil, our toxin-free flosses are waxed for a smooth glide and packaged in 100% plastic-free packaging.
Our Natural Biodegradable Silk Floss is sourced in cooperation with the CORSEDA Farm Cooperative in Cauca, Colombia. The CORSEDA Cooperative is a family owned and operated initiative that focuses on redirecting worthy sources of livelihood back to the native populations of Colombia in a sustainable and enriching manner. Spun by hand, the silk we use is pure, natural silk thread that is a 100% biodegradable material and comes from silk worms. Silk is used to make clothes, floss and many other products throughout the world. Silk thread is one of nature’s strongest natural fibers and the only natural fiber strong enough to be made into floss. In order to harvest in an efficient, effective, and safe manner, the silk cocoons are boiled to allow the whole cocoon to be unraveled as one continuous thread, permitting a much stronger thread and reducing the number of cocoons needed to make viable silk thread. The result is a 100% natural product that can biodegrade and causes no impact on the environment after use. We here at RADIUS believe this is a very important offering for our consumers and our environment. For consumers who are looking for a vegan option, we do also offer vegan floss options.
Our nylon flosses (Peppermint, Clove Cardamom, Vanilla Mint) are made from expanding sponge nylon which expands between teeth. Expanding sponge floss grips food particles and grime between teeth ensuring a sparking clean smile.
We currently don't have a floss that is both vegan and biodegradable, but believe us, we've been on the hunt for this option for a long time. The issue that we've encountered is that, while you can find fiber that is both vegan and biodegradable, the key is to make sure it's also strong enough to be made into floss and so far we haven't found a thread that doesn't break easily and is up to our standards.
In the meantime, we have 2 options - a vegan non-biodegradable option, and a non-vegan biodegradable option. This is our best offer until we find that perfect fiber that's the best of both words BUT can also be made into floss.
Unfortunately, we can't make our Travel Cases to fit every single brand since all of the sizes vary, but all of our Travel Cases do fit most major brands. The easiest way to tell is to measure your product and compare to the dimensions of our cases below.

Our Organic Canine Dental Gel Toothpaste was not formulated for cats so we recommend consulting a verterinatian before use. The toothbrush included in our Organic Canine Dental Kit can be used on your feline friend.
RADIUS is proud to say that all of our toothbrushes (handles and heads), travel cases, and accessories are biodegradable in a landfill. We've added EcoPure® to our products to enhance it's natural decomposition in a landfill. So if you're not able to recycle, you can rest easy knowing RADIUS products will breakdown in landfills.
Once your order leaves our facility, it is in the hands of the carrier and RADIUS does not have any control over the delivery. We recommend contacting your post office for lost items. However, if the packaging cannot be found we will resend your order one-time free of charge to either the same address with signature required or to a different address entirely.
No, we do not offer a send back recycling program. We believe that using a sustainable manufacturing process and making products out of earth-friendly materials that last longer but can be easily recycled by the user in the end or will decompose in landfill, will benefit the environment more than sending it back for us to recycle.

We fully support people who want to design and innovate - after all, that's what we're all about - but we do not contract manufacture. We kind of like doing our own thing and prefer to design and manufacture all of our own products on our own machines.
Yes, RADIUS® stands behind all of our products. We have a 30 day guarantee. You can return your brush for a full refund or exchange if you are not satisfied.
We do recommend trying your new RADIUS toothbrush for at least a week before deciding that you don't like it. Since the brushes are larger than ordinary toothbrushes it might take you a while to adjust but most people who try them for a week become fans for life.
